Magnetic claps are easy to open and close, no fumbling with levers or finding small rings to secure a clasp. These are especially nice when used to create jewelry intended for arthritis sufferers. Magnetic clasps should be opened with a sliding movement of the magnets, never pulled apart, as this could damage any jewelry piece using these clasps.

5 of 5 My Black Oxide trials... December 10, 2021

I am using this Black Oxide clasp in the hope that it will not visibly tarnish. Time will tell, but I think the Black Oxide will solve that problem. Don't know why I did not think of this solution earlier. Going with Brass, Black Oxide or GunMetal whenever possible from now on.
